The Fuqua Technology Multimedia Room is designed to provide a space for faculty, staff, and students to use specialized software and hardware in a room where our personnel can provide close support and instruction. The room features four different workstations, each designed for a unique purpose.
Multimedia Station 1 is equipped with a scanner as well as an Epson document camera for scanning large and three-dimesional objects.
Multimedia Station 2 has a Yeti microphone connected to the computer so that audio can be inserted into other media such as an online tutorial. This computer is loaded with Camtasia which is a software that is designed for making online tutorials.
Multimedia Station 3 is set up for Skype interviews and small group collaborative work. The station is equipped with a 48" LCD display monitor and a 24" working monitor so that content can be displayed in an easy-to-see format for 4 to 6 participants. A 1080p high definition webcam is connected for high quality video when using Skype.
