Share Your COVID-19 Experiences with HSC!
As President Larry Stimpert has stated, the greater Hampden-Sydney community is “living a reality of remote teaching and advising for the rest of the semester” and dealing with unprecedented changes. Much like the 1918 Spanish Flu Epidemic, we are currently living under unique circumstances where our reactions to and reflections on these uncertain times will be the subject of future historical inquiry.
To capture the lived experience of the Hampden-Sydney College community during this time, Bortz Library invites students, alumni, administration, faculty both current and emeriti, and staff to submit evidence of their experience. This can be in the form of journal and diary entries, emails, texts, screengrabs, photographs, videos, interviews or audio recordings, memes, illustrations, or any other digital or paper traces that reflect the ongoing situation around COVID-19, including being displaced from student housing, working from home, the shift to online instruction, social distancing, and self-quarantine.
You are welcome to submit now or plan a more long-term project. If you have any questions, please contact me!
