Policies

Study carrels are available for student use on every floor of the library. 

Availability:

• Carrels may not be reserved. 
• Carrels are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 
• Study spaces, include study carrels and the areas around them, are shared spaces.

Usage:

• Library materials in study carrels must be checked out at the circulation desk. Items that are not checked out may be removed and re-shelved.
• Personal belongings left unattended are at risk of being damaged or stolen. The library is not responsible for items left in study carrels. 
• Do not move study carrels and chairs, or affix anything to carrels or windows. 
• Users are responsible for removign trash to a receptacle outside the carrel.
• Applicances, including coffee makers, are not permitted and will be removed from carrels.
• Food and drink should not be stored in carrels.
